Terms of Use
These terms are the agreement between you and Mile High Animation ("we") for using the Mile High Animation app. If a child uses the app, the parent, guardian, or teacher who set it up agrees to these terms for them and helps them follow the community rules.
Who can use the app
- Anyone can use the free lessons and the sandbox without an account.
- Accounts are for people 18 or older (a parent, guardian, or teacher, including for a child in their care) or people 13 or older using it themselves. Children under 13 use the app through a grown-up's account or a class account we set up with permission.
- Keep your sign-in email secure. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
Purchases
- Some lessons and challenges are unlocked with a one-time purchase (for example, $20 to unlock everything available, and $5 for each new module). Prices are shown before you pay. There's no subscription.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. A purchase unlocks the app for the account that bought it.
- Refunds: for 7 days after buying, you can refund a purchase yourself in Settings, no questions asked. After 7 days, purchases can't be refunded, except where the law requires it. Questions about a purchase? Email us. If a payment is refunded, what it unlocked is locked again; your animations and progress stay.
Your animations
- You own the animations you make. To run the app, you let us store them and show them back to you.
- When a grown-up shares an animation to the community, they let us show it, with the nickname given, in the app and in Mile High Animation's social media posts and highlight videos. You can ask us to remove it at any time; see the Privacy Policy.
Community rules
- Be kind. No mean, scary, or grown-up content.
- Keep it private: no real full names, schools, addresses, phone numbers, or photos of people in shared work or nicknames.
- Only upload pictures and share work you made or have permission to use. Fan art of famous characters is fun to practice, but we may not feature it.
- We review everything before it's shared, and we may decline or remove anything, or close an account that breaks these rules.
Our work
The Mile High Animation lessons, teaching method, characters, artwork, sounds, and software belong to Mile High Animation and are protected by copyright. You may use them to learn in the app, but please don't copy, resell, or republish them. If you believe something in the app infringes your copyright, email us and we'll look into it promptly.
The app is provided "as is"
We work hard to keep the app running and your work safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free, and you should keep copies of anything precious. To the extent the law allows, Mile High Animation isn't liable for indirect or incidental losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it.
Changes and the law
We may update these terms; if a change matters, we'll show it in the app and update the date above. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado.
